I cant believe that Liliane is two years old where does the time go? She had a lovley birthday tea with lots of in the night garden items which she loves.
Monday I went into the hospital in Kirchberg to have the calcium removed from the tendon as a first step on the way to repairing my shoulder. However when the surgeon looked inside it was too complicated a job so he just removed some adhesions and scar tissue. It appears that last time I had part of the acronium removed hence its not a lump on my shoulder but a hollow. So I have to return in September when he will have consulted with some professor in Germany and might have an idea of what to do next. He also said there will be a new problem called a Brereton shoulder hummm. My room was very nice with a view of the park, and I felt so much better than I was expecting too.
It was a very hot day but Malcolm had promised the children that we would go to the park. They were covered in sun cream and wore their hats but we didn't sty long. It was 35c in the shade.Malcolm and Abigail tried to stay out of the sun, Frankie learned to ride his bike with out stabilisers just as we were leaving. He was very proud.
To day was my 59th birthday, so big celebrations next year which will also be our ruby wedding.. Malcolm bought a lovely chocolate cake which we had at Abigails. I had some beautiful flowers, books, smellies and dvds lots to keep me busy when I have to go to hospital next week to have my shoulder redone. In the evening we went out to dinner Frankie loved Malcolms moules and lil enjoyed dipping her bread in his white wine sauce.
Malcolm had an early birthday present from Pam & Richard which he opened as soon as he got home all I can say is I hope he doesn't drink the port before climbing the tree. The veg garden at Abigails has grown into a jungle and unfortunately the potatoes have got blight. Still Malcolm was very pleased with his harvest.
All to soon it was time to say goodbye 3 weeks went so quickly. Aaron cooked his famous lasagna for our last evening. It was sad to say goodbye to Sebastian he will probably be walking the next time we see him.
Avril has had a large veg plot to look after this year but has done very well. Her garlic and onions have been superb. Aaron has got his first apples on his tree and his onions are looking good to.
Avril & Stu have been busy decorating the front room which involved a new fireplace. They were hoping that when the old one was removed there would be something usable underneath. Unfortunately there was a very old one, but it was crumbling away. It is going to look quite magnificent when finished.
Malcolm joined us at Northcote manor for Sunday lunch. He was a little late as he couldn't quite get into the car park, the gps had taken him to a dead end and he could see where to go but not how to get there. It wasn't a problem we just had an extra drink while we waited. Lunch was superb and the sun even came out so we could have coffee in the garden. We will have to go on diets when we get home having eaten and drunk so much.
We decided to go to the Newby Hall sculpture park. It was rather wet but we tramped around manfully and looked at all the art work. Only five or six impressed us out of around 50 but we had fun. Plus a lovely cream tea for a treat afterwords.
