It was a beautiful day and the builders wanted to get on with the plumbing so we went to Rye. After a walk around the river Malcolm wanted to visit the pub of the year The Bell for lunch but after a not very warm welcome and the offer of pizza to eat we left. The Wool Pack at Brookland was quite different, a very warm welcome and home cooked food delicious. Then it was back to Rye to hunt out some antiques for the house.
Well we have another snuggle chair and almost a toilet so things are getting more comfortable at Brookland.
Malcolm was very keen to call at the Alexandra Palace as there was a model railway fair on.It was a beautiful day but the fair was a little disappointing not to say very expensive.
We spent a couple of night with Aaron Anna & Seb they very kindly looked after Grandma Ethel while we went to Nottingham to finish sorting out her boxes.
Well it was back to Hythe for a few days, feeling better this time thank goodness. Malcolm was kept very busy building the dinning room furniture. We found a copper kettle at Aunty Wainwrights it just needed a good clean.
Linda had a free weekend so she caught a plane and came to visit us. Malcolm took her around the city sight seeing.Then we sat in the sunshine on the terrace with a drink or two.Saturday night we had a girls night out but did allow Malcolm to come. The time went all to quickly but we hope she will soon come back.
Abigail and family went to Hythe for half term. We went the week after for a few days. Unfortunately we had flu and spent most of the time in bed. Malcolm did manage to clean the fireplaces and hang some pictures.
