Sleep overs

As it is the school holiday the children like to come and sleep over. Frankie needed a hair cut so Granddad got the scissors out. Frank said "you do know granddad that hairdressers are fully trained" Emilie tried to teach Malcolm cats craddle games. Liliane said she was now old enough to sleep too so we couldnt refuse but she was as good as gold and no trouble at all.

Christmas eve

Frankie wanted to have our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of ham egg chips and peas on the 21st as he said he was already for Christmas.  We explained that it had to be on the 24th as Father Christmas couldn't come early. There was great excitement putting out the pie and carrot but poor Santa was left a glass of Coke. Christmas morning we had scrambled eggs and salmon or bacon for breakfast before opening the pressies.

Elton John

Abigail & I had tickets to see Elton John we had been looking forward for weeks to a great night out. There was a snow storm in the afternoon and we worried that the roads would be blocked. Then we worried that Elton would be stuck in London as the airports were closed. We all made it to Le Coque and we had great seats 18 rows from the front. The best thing about concerts in Luxembourg is the small venues. Unfortunatly it was Eltons gloom and doom tour and we ended the evening feeling quite let down. I commented to Abigail during the gig that he would do Candle in the wind as an encore to cheer us up.............and that is what he did.
