Pumpkin.

Malcolm was very pleased to be able to make the children a Halloween lantern from a pumpkin grown his own garden. Lil and Emilie loved it but Frank was a little concerned about the fire inside.

Fire Fire, Fire Fire

I had just put Lil to bed when someone played loudly on the door bell and woke her up. I was not best pleased to put it mildly. It was the next door neighbor in a panic, there was black smoke issuing from the house opposite and someone screaming. I got Malcolm and he rushed over to help. A car was on fire so he got it out onto the drive but the lady wouldn't leave the garage she wanted to clean up before the fire brigade arrived. With the help of a passing motorist they got the fire out. The children were home ill and thought it all very exciting.

Frankie's 6th birthday

Frankie is 6 where does the time go..........when asked what he would like for his birthday he said cards and a cake and some presents. I asked what presents he would like to have he said " I mustn't know whats in side because it wouldn't be a surprise" I think he enjoyed all his surprises.

Busy Busy Busy

Romain has been busy building a deck around the children s play shed. Malcolm has refurbished the bench and chairs. I have been to the clinic for my pre checks ready for my cataract op in November at yet another hospital. I didn't know Luxembourg had so many, never a dull moment.

Nut cases

We met Bonita at the American cemetry to show her the way to the book sale at Sandweiler. We always enjoy it me for the books Malcolm for the cake and coffee. It was quite lucky as we sat waiting in the car we saw lots of beech trees and Emilie has been looking for beech nut cases for an art project at school so there we were scrabbling around in the drizzle picking nut cases.

Alfie

We have a new member of the family called Alfie a rescue dog. Unfortunately he is not ours but belongs to Avril & Stu, but we look forward to meeting him. Bonita got her new car this week and drove it over on Saturday night for us to see. Malcolm had a little ride and I tried to get a photo although it was a bit too dark.
