Italian evening

On Frank & Christine's last evening we had dinner with Bonita, Abigail and family at the Italian in Clemency. Frankie enjoyed his pizza but Emilie was more interested in reading the Worst Witch book that Frank & Christine had given her. We had coffee at Abigails afterwards and played with the children till bed time. It was very sad to say goodbye the following morning.

Remich

When we went to Remich with Pat & Colin last week we thought how nice it would be to take a boat trip on the Moselle. As the weather was so beautiful we went back with Frank & Christine, the large boat was not running but the small one was doing one hour trips just perfect and we caught the last trip of the day.

Welcome visitors

Frank & Christine came to visit us for a few days as it was half term. The car had to go to be repaird so Martin and Amelia came over and ran Malcolm to the garage in Belgium, then came back for breakfast. The weather was very pleasant and we spent a lovely day wandering around the city. Stopping off at the pub for a drink and a flute. Malcolm cooked a BBQ in the evening and we just caught up on old times.

Another New Car

Tuesday after we had finnished at Bonitas Abigail phoned to say she could collect her new car. We all rushed off to meet her at the garage.The children were very excited.I drove home with her for moral support but she was very good even though it was rush hour and it was pouring with rain.This morning Pat and Colin returned to the Uk. I went for an ex- ray of my shoulder which is not feeling very happy but will have to wait and see what the Dr has to say about it before I panic too much.

Bonita moves house

Thursday was a bank holiday so every one went over to help Bonita move house. We all worked very hard to get everything ready for the arrival of Pat & Colin not to mention Lucky the dog. Saturday we showed Pat around and Sunday we had a BBQ at Abigail's. Monday it was off to Ikea for a few things for Bonita and Tuesday it was assembly day. I think Bonita will be very happy in her new home.

New home, new car.

Tuesday was Bonita's birthday bet you cant guess her pressies.........I thought Malcolm could enter them for the Turner prize.Wednesday Bonita's furniture arrived from the U.K.she was very excited to see her own things again and enjoyed unpacking all the boxes. Romain got his new car at last and the kids thought it was very cool. We did too.

Bonita now has the key for her apartment so we spent the afternoon scrubbing and cleaning. Poor Malcolm has worn his fingers to the bone, its just as well he cant feel them. The ostrich farm was open to the public to day so we had a look around and bought ostrich burgers for tea. I bought Malcolm some sausage`s too.

Car trouble

The car needs something replaced behind the wheel. It was noticed when we had the summer tyres put on but no is keen to do the job. We met Amelia and Martin at a garage near the city but no joy so we went out for breakfast instead. In the evening we went out en family to celebrate Bonitas birthday.

Reprieve

I had put off going to see the ophthalmologist about my cataracts for as long as I could. So off I went but luckily due to various holidays she can`t sort them out until October so I don't have to think about it till then. We took Lilie with us and she was very good but when we left the office due to the eye drops and bright sunshine we were both as blind as bats so had to walk the city streets for some time. On the way home we stopped to see how Amelia and Martins new house was coming along.

Driving Test

Abigail has done it last she has passed her driving test we are so pleased for her so now all she needs is a car. We went to the dentist in the morning so it was quite a stressful day. Malcolm made a shepherds pie for dinner with a little hindrance from Lilie.

Bonita's new home

Bonita has found an apartment in Filsdorf a small village just a few miles from her school. She is very pleased with it and she can also have her dog lucky to live with her there. We went to see the apartment but she has not yet got the key so we peeped in the window and had a walk around the village. There is a florist shop two cafes and a farm which sells turkeys and chickens also an ostrich farm. We then went on to Remich for a late lunch and a walk along the river.

First BBQ this year.

The weather was glorious again so we tackled the bottom slope of the garden. It was like hay making the grass was so long. I planted some wild flowers at the top and we left the grass at the bottom for stability. When we had finished we had our first BBQ of the year.

Bank Holiday Friday

Strange that, a May bank holiday on Friday. It would have been Hayley's 19th birthday today how the years fly by. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go to the Zoo. It is only five minutes from Bonita's new apartment so we thought she should know how to get there. We all had a lovely time.
