Zig Zag's

Thursday we went to Ikea to get Lillie a new mattress unfortunately she was very sick all over it the first time she slept on it, kids.......... Friday we took the children to Zig Zags and they had a great time climbing and running around. Thank goodness my shoulder is not painful any more so I was able to join in the fun.

where people get dead

Monday we went to Bastogne for pizza and then on to the museum. Wednesday it was sunny so we took the children to the pirate ship for fun and then on to the American and German cemetery's for a history lesson. Frankie hadn't quite got the idea as he said later it was cool where the soldiers get dead. Then it was off to McDonald's for tea.

New House

Sebastian came to visit us in Bascharage for the first time on Saturday. We all met at Cactus to do some shopping and we even got around to buying a new T.V. Aaron came over to help install it and we are very pleased with the picture. In the evening we went out to dinner at the Italian in Clemency and had a very good meal. Sunday Aaron & family, Amelia & Martin came for breakfast and then we picked up the children and went to see the new house it is really taking shape now.

Today was the day of uncle Roy's interment. The sunset was spectacular with this sun pillar phenomenon.

Pamperd

Saturday Avril had arranged for us to go to Manchester for the day for a little pampering session at Kendals with Mark, some retail therapy and of course lunch. The makeover was very relaxing just what we needed. followed by lunch at Cafe Rouge a browse around Waterstones M & S and Next. Sunday was my flight home it was odd to be in Essex for 4 hours waiting for my connection so near yet so far.

Delph

Avril belongs to an art group that had a little exhibition on in Delph so after our wonderful dinner at the old Bell we went along to view her drawings.

The Old Bell Inn

Avril Stu Marie and I had a delicious meal at The Old Bell Inn Saddleworth we had stopped at several pubs all of which were not serving meals until 6.30pm but their loss was our gain as we could not have found any where better.

Solo flight

I managed to get a flight to Manchester to be with Avril for a few days leaving Malcolm to hold the fort. Lilie is now well trained in household duties and will keep him in order till I return.

Snow

We have had some snow this week sadly not as much as in the UK. The kids were a bit upset that there was not enough to build a snowman. Emilie went out lanterning with the children from her street. The children sing at the neighbouring houses and are given sweets and money. Frankie wasnt well enough to go and Lilie was too little.

Avril's dad, my uncle & Godfather sadly died very suddenly on 4th of February.

Sebastian

Sebastian is growing up fast and is already learning to use the computer. It wont be long before he can skype Grandma & Grandad. We have all had horrible colds this week and Frank has had bronchitis again.
