Stormy weather

We have had a lot of wind and rain this week and once again the floods at Abigail's. I have still been having physio and now at last I can feel some improvement. I have been a misery to live with the last few months but hope that is improving too. Malcolm likes to practice on the piano but Liliane wants to join in all the time, so she has five minutes then its Grandads turn.

Birthdays Birthdays Birthdays

As I had just come out of hospital when it was Malcolm's BIG birthday we didn't go out for dinner. We were in England when it was Abigail's birthday and now it was Amelia's BIG day we all went to an Italian in Beraldange and had a big celebration dinner for everyone.

Malcolm the mender

We had a small wooden bike in the loft which had been broken for some time and now Lilie is growing up I thought it was time for a repair. Malcolm couldn't get the right size dowel so he used aluminium which did the job well. I started my physio therapy its four times a week for a month. Its not much fun and I need a nap after but I keep telling myself it must be doing some good no gain without pain. To cheer us up we had Jamie Oliver's turkey pies for lunch made by my uncle Roy delicious..........

Happy bunnies

This was a week of sorting out post Christmas. Malcolm built his shelf which he had had for his birthday and filled his Massala dabbe with spices. I filled my computer with music and family history. I saw the Consultant about my shoulder and he was very pleased. Two happy bunnies.

Home

The journey home was more comfortable as my shoulder was so much better. When we arrived home Martin was cooking a beef wellington for dinner and Amelia and Abigail were busy laying the table and pouring drinks. What a lucky pair we are to have such wonderful thoughtful children both sides of the channel. They all quickly emptied the car and we were soon eating and drinking.

Farwell

It was our last day with Aaron Anna and Sebastian we had a walk around the park and fed the ducks. Coffee with Pam and Richard then Aaron made a lasagna for dinner and sadly it was time to say goodbye.

Essex

We left the north past the lake at Hollingworth back to mums for a couple of hours. Then back to Essex Aaron had left us some Jamie Olivers pie for dinner as they were going out to introduce Sebastian to the NCT group. After the pie Malcolm and I went to our friend Junes for a drink with Phil and Angela and Paul.

A new year

It was a very cold day and we set of for Salford Keyes Avril and I were going shopping and the boys where going to the war museum. Sadly they were both shut so change of plan and off we went to the Trafford Centre for some retail therapy.Avril and Stu had been very busy decorating before Christmas and have done a lovely job on the back stairs.
