Sunrise

Malcolm says there are benefits to getting up several times a night one is that he saw a beautiful sunrise the other morning. My plants are doing well so far nothing has been eaten yet.

What no Veg

Malcolm cut the grass at Clemency. Abigail had made a new flower border which is looking very nice already. There are no veg this year due to the risk of flooding Romain and Malcolm were going to make raised beds but the commune is discussing flood prevention work so there is no point until we know what is happening. The wild flowers are taking over but they look very pretty.

Shopping & Lunch

Monday it was back to normal after the holidays. We picked Frank up from school and then collected Abigail and Lillie and went to the shops. We had lunch out and Frank almost ate his whole pizza much to our surprise. It was a bit of a rush to get back for Emilie but we just made it. The wonders of modern technology made it possible for the kids to play Mario cart with Jon in Reading.

Gardeners World

At last we have been able to get out and do a little gardening little being the right word as there isn't a lot we can do, but we make the most of it. Malcolm put some edging around the tree and I planted it up. I hope his cardiologist doesn't know about my blog as I don't think he would approve but he has survived.

Parc Merveilleux

As its half term we all went to Parc Marveilleux a little children's zoo and play ground. We didn't get out and about much last year so Frankie cant remember going before and of course it was Lillie's first time, she was rather taken with the penguins. It was a cooler day than of late and slightly cloudy so perfect for wandering around.

Spring half term

The children take it in turns to sleep here during the school holidays. They seem to think its a great treat..........Frankie stayed on Tuesday night and Emilie on Wednesday. We bought her a new scooter as she is too grown up for the Bob one now so it has become just Frankie's and it gives them one each when they are both here. Grandad told her bed time stories of what a naughty boy he was when he was small. We all had to get up early as Emilie was due at the hospital for more tests and we had to look after Lillie and Frankie.

Village Fete

It is bank holiday weekend here in Luxembourg and the little fair has come to the village. The children had a lovely time having rides and eating candy floss. Looby Loo enjoyed all the sights and sounds too. It was rather hot so Frankie had a paddle at the park to cool off on the way home.

A walk in the woods

Malcolm & I thought we had better let Linda & Keith have a quiet day before the journey back to England. So there was just a short trip to the shops for wine & Chocolates home for lunch then off to the woods for a walk. I had left the camera at Abigail's so no photos until we get some from Keith. The evening was dinner at Le Pigeonnier our best local restaurant where we had the whole place to ourselves. Linda & Keith left the next morning to return home via Harefields where Oli has been incarcerated for the next few days due to an infection.
