Looby Loo

Lilly is not at all happy with her name, she just glares when we call her Lilly, but call her Looby Loo and she thinks its so funny and giggles away. She is growing up so fast we cant keep up. The sun came out so Malcolm hosed down the patio at Clemency ready for the nice weather so expect snow any time soon. We went to the Ophthalmologist who was happy to see me again in 9 months when she will make an appointment to have my cataracts seen to. so I am happy that it will be next year before I have to face that. Malcolm has to have a scan on his eyes at the end of the month to see what damage has been done to his retina.

Strictly with Frankie

As you know Frankie loves to play on the wii but he is now not content to win gold medals he like's to get world records. However when he is tired its a little frustrating when he looses and we cant stand the winging. So thankfully he has discovered the world of the strictly come dancing dvd.

Grandad

Frankie loves to help with jobs and he was very pleased to help his Grandad move the saddle up on his bike. He tried to ride Emilie's old one but it was just too big for him. It doesn't seem long since he was helping her to ride with out stabilisers. He is loving school now and is very proud of the things he makes. This week it was Pippi Långstrump. I remember Abigail dressing up as Pippi for book week at Friars school but she was very upset when no one knew who she was. Saturday we had dinner with Amelia & Martin before we all went to see Sweeny Todd. I was glad we ate first as we had beef wellington and although its not strictly a pie I might not have fancied it after the film.

Sad goodbyes

The children had such a lovley time in England with lots of family and friends that they were very sad to say goodbye. They will be back in the summer and we are all off to Centre Parks for a few days.

Sun Sea & Sand

Sun, Sea, Sand, sausage & mash, and doughnuts. We were only a little bit envious of Abigail and family enjoying the delights of the sea front ( well of the doughnuts) while they were in the U.K. Jonathan was very pleased to meet Lilly for the first time as he is her Godfather. He pushed her pram and even, I am told changed her nappy I was very impressed.

Joseph Lee Mead Joseph

At last the long awaited day came for Emilie to go to London to see
Joseph / Lee and his amazing coloured coat.
She was not at all impressed with London. There were too many people and buses and it was also very smelly.
Even a visit to Hamlys didn't do anything for her she said the toilets were dirty.
BUT she had a fantastic time at the theatre.
Thank goodness something lived up to expectations. She couldn't decide which bit of Joseph was the best ( apart from Lee).
She loved the butler and the camel and thought everyone sang very well. They were also lucky enough to see Lee at the stage door after the performance.

Half Term

This week was half term and Abigail & Romain took the children to stay with Aaron & Anna in England. It was Lilly's first visit, so they all went off to Willen to see Linda, Keith, Oli & Kati and had a wonderful time. They couldnt believe the change in Oli and how much more he could do.We were going to do so much while they were away but I caught a nasty cold and so did very little. We watched a great deal of day time t.v. and saw a lot of Dominic Littlewood on various programes, he was in Malcolms class at Tommy Moore's. The first half of the week we had a lot of rain and Abigails garden flooded as usual but the drainage worked and the water level soon went down.

The Lake

Sunday the sun came out so we thought we would go for a short walk. Malcolm was sure he now knew where the lake was so I gave him 20 minutes to find it . We found some water but were not sure if it was THE LAKE or just flood water. Looking at the map when we returnd home Malcolm decided it was the lake. It was not in the Wastwater catergory but I supose if it hadnt been frozen it would have been wet.

Hot Stones

Saturday night we went out for a meal with Amelia & Martin. We tried a new Argentinian restaurant in Bascharage. You order a steak of your choice and cook it yourself on a hot stone, with a selection of sauces potatoes and green salad. It was extremly good and no doubt we shall go there again.
