Family outing

Sunday night we all went to the Beerhause for dinner. It was Liliane's first outing to a restaurant and I am sure it wont be the last. Stuart enjoys the creme brulee as its made with beer. Emilie fell asleep at the table we didn't know it then but she was coming down with gastroenteritis which then spread to the whole family.

Visit to clemency

After the 1900 train we went to visit Clemency. Avril & Stu were very popular with the children as they had brought some nesquick magic straws that they had wanted to try for ages but they are not available here yet. Avril had been busy knitting tiny things for Lilie and had also brought some little clothes from Aunties Margaret & Millicent.

The 1900 train

Sunday was the last day of the season to visit the 1900 train. A little steam engine which you can travel on. Needles to say we purchased 2nd class seats and sat in first class and had to pay the difference.

Avril & Stu

Avril & Stu had been to Hamlin and Heidelberg in Germany so called in to visit us for the weekend before they went home. We took them to the Pigeon for dinner where we hoped they would have a wonderful meal and we were not disappointed. As usual we couldn't decide what to have for pudding so had the lot and I felt quite sick afterwards..........

Tee shirts

When Frankie was born Abigail bought tee shirts for Emilie and Frank which said I am the BIG sister and I am the LITTLE brother printed on them but they don't have them anymore so I decided to print some on the computer not altogether a great success but the children liked them. Frankie is still not very happy at school...............

Liliane comes home

Liliane came home at last much to every ones delight. She is so tiny but I am sure she will soon make her presence felt.

Back to School

It was back to school this week for Emilie and Frankie. We breathed a sigh of relief, a bit of time to catch up we thought but poor Frankie is not a happy boy. Liliane has had her feeding tube removed so that is a good step forwards. Abigail and I went to the hairdressers on Friday so we both feel a bit more human. My hair is more white than grey after the last few months but you wouldn't know that now, the hairdresser did keep saying its very dry very dry I think he meant straw like but either didn't know the word or was too polite...........

Grandads first cuddle

Grandad had his first cuddle with Liliane she was very comfy and soon fell fast asleep. The children love her to bits. When asked if he has a new brother or sister Frankie says he has a little sweetheart called Lilie.

Haircut

Emilie wanted to have her hair cut short for school, so it would be easier to manage when she goes swimming. So we went to the hairdressers this morning and the deed was done. Frankie said she looked fantastic. We said she looked like the little girl in the Petit Filou ad.

Shark attack

Amelia ordered fancy dress outfits from England for Kate's birthday only Martins arrived in time, and unfortunately the girls costumes have still not arrived. We had hysterics when Martin tried his on. Emilie had a sleep over at our apartment and was allowed to watch the first Harry Potter film her favourite bit is the Troll with the bogey needless to say......

Emilies first cuddle

ssshhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell Frankie but Emilie visited Lilie at the hospital with Abigail and had her first cuddle. We have been looking after the children while Abigail visits the little scrap each day and Romain try's to get some work done. Emilie's lip is looking better and hopefully the scab will fall off before school next week. Malcolm has been at the veg patch again this time it was the first Swede. Emilie was very proud of her sunflower the only one to grow from the many we planted.

First Cuddle

Liliane has been doing very well but she seems to have the family problem with lactose intolerance. She was very sick and sorry for herself poor little thing. I got my first cuddle and nappy change the first of many I expect.....

Poor Emilie

Poor Emilie was bitten by a dog she had to have her lip glued and tapped together so she was not a happy bunny but its healing well. We took her to McDonalds for a treat. Abigail is home but it will be a while before Liliane is big enough to join us. I took a photo of her nappy which is a little large for her along side a Dolly's nappy and a new born size.

Porch

We have had to have a new front door and porch fitted in England. The rain was coming in and damaging the floor. Our beautiful lead glass has been saved and I will have to ask Avril if she can make something with it. Aaron and Anna did the research and we think they choose well. My flowers here have looked very sad all Summer but are now thriving since they have been neglected........
