Well Abigail has been ill all week, it took untill Thursday for her to be well enough to get out of bed.The doctor came to visit her again on Monday and gave her more antibiotics. She is still too ill to go back to school on Monday. It was fortunate in some ways that she wasn't at school because Malcolm has also been ill, we had to see the Doctor who sent him for an ultrasound at the local hospital and he is now to see a urologist on Monday. We are learning all about the health system here, department by department we have done Cardiology & Pulmonology now its going to be Urology ,some lessons we could well do without! It has not been a good week for the Phillips family all round as Oli was called in again for a lung transplant and once again they were not suitable...........

England Manchester

We stayed with Aaron and Anna on Saturday night and then took mum home to Nottingham on the Sunday. I think she was quite pleased to be home. Tuesday we went up north to stay with Avril & Stu and refresh the bacon and black pudding supplies.Wednesday we had a wonderful lunch at the Cafe Rouge in Manchester and did some shopping. Thursday night we spent with Linda & Keith in Milton Keynes as we had missed them in the summer, Abigail Romain & the kids met us there and we all had a family dinner which was great. Friday it was back to Southend and dinner with Frank & Christine. Saturday more Christmas shopping followed by a roast bif experience chez Pam & Richard. Malcolm will be dreaming of this dinner for weeks as we still have not got the hang of roast beef a la Luxembourg. Sunday it was back on the ferry home.
