Drowned Sunflowers

I am not having much luck with my flowers, first I kill the box plants and now my sun flowers are drowning. I am not toataly at fault I blame the constant rain. Malcolm has been trying to erect a shed in Abigails garden between showers. Amelia and Marc went to Paris for a few days and brought us some wonderful cheese. We were not very pleased when we saw their photos as the sun was shining and the sky was blue. At least the weather is awful in England Richard mentioned he was building an Ark. Aaron is selling things on eBay oh what memories.........

Birthday Dinner

Abigail & Romain had a wedding to attend over the week-end so my birthday dinner had to be delayed till the Sunday. We had dinner at Gullivers an Italian restaurant on the edge of Bascharage everything was very nice except the lamb was a little over cooked. We will definitely be returning.

First BBQ

We were going to bring our bbq from England but as we had mum there was no room, so we bought one at the supermarket .It was a bargain as they were selling off the display models and it only cost 67euros. Amelia and Marc popped in so we sat on the terrace in the sun and lit the bbq and typically the heavens opened and it poured down. The rain eventualy stopped and we had a wonderful meal.

My Birthday

Can't believe I am 56. It seems really old, still there is only one alternative to getting old .......... Aaron and Anna bought me a wonderful bird feeder for the garden. The box plants had died while we were away ( I must be the only person who can kill box ) so Malcolm bought me some new plants I choose Broom as its very hardy and seemed appropriate as we live in Broom St.

Mum's 80th Birthday

Our return to Luxembourg had to be delayed by a week due to the circumstances and mum decided to return with us for a few weeks break. So it was all down to Essex for a couple of days with Aaron and Anna. Pam and Richard invited us for a roast beef experience which was wonderful. ( we have not got the hang of roast dinners in Luxembourg yet) Sunday was mums 80th birthday so Aaron and Anna arranged a surprise party for her which she greatly enjoyed.

Holidays in installments

Holidays in installments ,well it was back up the M1 again to Littleborough, Malcolm helped to move a shed in the garden his reward was to go up the local church tower to help wind the clock unfortunately his fear of small places got the better of him and he chickened out. Stuart took some photos for him instead. I went shopping with Avril and we had dinner at Grandma Pollards the best chip shop in the world....................

Flowers and Woods

Aaron and Anna came up to Nottingham to help with the final arrangements and the food etc they were a great help. Everything went well on the day mum was pleased with the flowers everyone sent. Sam's ashes were scattered in the local woods where he liked to walk in happier times.
