Battle of the Bulge

No not that bulge that will take place in the new year, this is the real battle. Amelia and Marc are on holiday this week so each afternoon when we have finished looking after the children we go out. We have done some Christmas shopping in the city, seen Harry Potter ( sans Liam and Nik sorry boys we did miss you ) Visited the Christmas market in Trier. Been up north to the Battle of the Bulge museum in Diekirk which was very sobering, a wonderful place full of tanks and weapons, photos and personal stories. It will be a must see for our visitors . Tomorrow the car is having new headlamps fitted so we don't blind the on coming traffic, it has got very cold so next week we are having winter tyres put on before the M.O.T and registering nightmare on the 1st of December.

A Busy Week

Well what a week. Abigail started her new job and is very happy teaching her little ones English, Malcolm is happy to chauffeur her around he occupies himself by going to a cafe and watching the world go by while he has a coffee and reads Harry Potter, while I look after Frank and pick up Emilie and my little Polish girls from school .They think that I am quite mad I'm sure. My Luxemburgish is just about good enough for me to know that they discuss who or maybe what I am..I am not mum or mummy or grandma or booma so they they decided I am Boomie apparently that's a friendly grandma so I am happy with that.
Amelia had a bad reaction to the cortisone injection they gave her for the allergy to face paints so now she is off work as the muscles in her back have gone so she has a mattress on the floor poor old thing. We went to see her Saturday and Sunday as Marc was working. Saturday night we babysat for Sarah a friend of Amelia's. So its all go, we hardly have any time to spend in our apartment which is now looking more homely.

Only problem is Abigail had offered to pick up two little Polish girls from school and give them lunch for a few weeks and they don't speak a word of English............ . I pick them up with Emilie we have lunch Frankie goes to bed then Abigail is back to take the girls to school.

Bugs

Last week Abigail and Romain were both ill. Guess what; this week I am ill aches and pains everywhere I just hope Malcolm doesn't catch it. Amelia also has been to hospital she wore some face paints to go out on Halloween and was allergic to it she came up in a rash and then her neck and tongue started to swell but a steroid jab and some pills sorted her out.
